Synopsis
In this bittersweet study of family life, Jiang Yi and his wife pay a visit to his elderly parents and the young couple hatch various plans to try to help the old couple and improve their living conditions. The plans ultimately come to nothing and Jiang Yi’s conflicted feelings towards his parents, along with the parents’ frustration at what they see as Jiang Yi’s interference, only serve to put his own marriage in jeopardy.
