A group of young men in Tucson, Arizona some as young as nine are formed into the first youth Mariachi in the United States by an Irish Catholic Priest.
Despite the Priest’s immoral conduct, they created a world-renowned Youth Mariachi Movement that endures and sixty years later the group continues being celebrated.

Uzeda

A history of independence spanning across over 30 years. in 1991 sicilian noise band Uzeda send a demotape to legendary US sound engineer Steve Albini, who decides to fly to Catania to work with them: within months, the act are signed by Touch and Go, invited to record two BBC Peel Sessions and asked to play all over the world. A collaboration and friendship that has changed the story and lives of four individuals

The Halfway Between All This

While working for CARE International in the displaced persons camps as a relief worker in Rwanda in the fall of 1994, filmmaker Heather Greer gave 12 rolls of film to a colleague traveling back to the US. These photographs had been taken to document CARE’s relief activities.
Due to a family emergency the film never arrived at CARE’s headquarters in Atlanta.
